The chef is an import from California and doing an excellent job with an extensive menu and consistent execution. There is also a new restaurant in Vermillion called Silk Road that I recently went to for the first time. You can get Thai and Asian foods from several countries there which after sampling a good cross section-Korean, Thai, Chinese- I have to say I was quite impressed by such an ambitious undertaking. I would recommend the Be Bim Bop but you should not be afraid of the Thai food there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689759279965297515.post-42804966294345036992009-12-20T15:23:30.915-08:002009-12-20T15:23:30.915-08:00Amie, I really need to get back out to Coco Palace...Amie, I really need to get back out to Coco Palace and give some of their Thai dishes the old college try once again. It's been a few years since I have eaten there and before I get too opinionated about their food, I really need to try it again. I don't remember being blown away, but then I don't recall being hopelessly disappointed, either. My first experiences with Thai were at a great restaurant in downtown Chicago. I've also had some good Thai food in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, my memories of how good that food was in Chicago have, fairly or unfairly, set a pretty high benchmark.

I most recently had some sushi at Coco Palace and have to say I really didn't think all that highly of it.

I will definitely have to get back over to Coco and report back. The Secret Forkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03699934902709536406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3689759279965297515.post-85380708578907220982009-12-10T08:20:30.048-08:002009-12-10T08:20:30.048-08:00Just curious what you think about the pad thai and...Just curious what you think about the pad thai and other Thai offerings at Coco Palace.Amienoreply@blogger.com
